Looking back at 2021…

Another stop-start year due to the pandemic. It’s not been the most positive year for a lot of people, but it’s important to celebrate what we have – and what we may not otherwise have – accomplished. We’re still here, and as my ever-positive dad says, ‘the alternative is much worse’. My favourite plates of the year are in my best nine post, but for descriptions you’ll have to scroll back to each individual dish.

I have mainly been developing seasonal dishes in my spare time and testing them out on friends and family. A lot of these dishes are featured on Instagram, and some have been posted on – and occasionally reposted by some industry groups.

Off-topic slightly, I have been thinking about offering private dining services for some time, and have always cooked for friends and family in their own kitchens. So in these uncertain times it’s something I’m starting to think about more seriously.
